St.
Croix: The
largest of all three Virgin Islands is the perfect
home for those seeking a bit of paradise lost
without loosing their ability to stay connected
with the rest of the world.
St. Croix is the southernmost island of the U.S.
Virgin Islands. As an Unincorporated Territory
of the United States of America, it enjoys the
same constitutional privileges as all states in
the United States.
Settled about 120 years before the Pilgrims landed
in America, St. Croix’s historical and cultural
heritage sets it apart from many other places
in the world.

Spain,
England,
France,
The
Knights of Malta, the Netherlands,
Denmark
and the United
States colonized
St. Croix. Each of these countries, and the African
influences, shaped today’s “Crucian” society and
environment. The food, religion, architecture
and language are but a potpourri of all these
influences. Despite its European Influences, St.
Croix is very much a Caribbean island and the
English language spoken here has a rhythmic, Calypso
flavor.
